Korean people use soy sauce very often, seasoning purpose. It is not just soy sauce, many ingredient are put into. The most greatest collabo is with sesame oil and garlic, scallion and chilly pepper powder, sugar and others. This is known as 한국식 양념 간장 that can be used for dipping sauce for sea foods cuisines, or mixed rice seasonings and served with meat products.
The dipping sauce purpose is to eat with 오징어 파전. The mixed rice seasonings purpose is 콩나물 비빔밥, many other applications are possible.
The soy sauce’s mild salty flavor is well with sesame oil’s special tastes, it is so good when mixed only with plain steamed rice. The sauce tastes are added to touch of garlic’s, chilly pepper powder’s hot flavor, their combination is very state of art in Korean seasonings.
Some people make 양념 간장 which is made of marinated with 장아찌 bottle, which is tasteful with marinated ingredient’s special tastes soaked out of the ingredient materials. The ingredients would be either or mixed bottle of chilly pepper, onions and radishes and so on.
